Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using BTC Tools (the "Service", "we", "us").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (which is incorporated by reference). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using BTC Tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description (Non-Custodial)

BTC Tools is a non-custodial Bitcoin transaction utility that provides software tools and interfaces to help you, for example:

• Construct and modify Bitcoin transactions
• Create Replace-By-Fee (RBF) transactions
• Analyze transaction details, UTXOs, and related data (etc.)

Important: We provide tools only. We do not:

• Hold, control, or have access to your funds
• Execute transactions on your behalf
• Provide custody or wallet services
• Store your private keys, seed phrases, or wallet passwords

All transaction signing occurs locally within your wallet (browser extension, hardware wallet, etc.).

3. User Responsibilities

You Are Solely Responsible For:

• Verifying all transaction details before signing or broadcasting
• Understanding Bitcoin transactions and their irreversible nature
• Securing your own wallet, private keys, and devices
• Paying appropriate network fees
• Compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction

You Acknowledge That:

• Bitcoin transactions are irreversible once confirmed
• Incorrect transactions may result in permanent loss of funds
• Network fees are paid to miners, not to us
• We cannot recover lost or stolen funds or assets

4. No Financial or Professional Advice

BTC Tools does NOT provide investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

Any information displayed (fee estimates, transaction analysis, etc.) is for informational purposes only. You should consult qualified professionals for financial, tax, or legal matters.

5. Fees (If Any)

The Service may offer certain paid access, paid features, or benefits from time to time.

Fees (if any) are charged for access and availability, not for any guaranteed outcome, and do not create any fiduciary relationship, custody relationship, or duty to safeguard your funds.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all fees are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Merchantability
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Accuracy or reliability of any information

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Defects will be corrected
• The Service is free of viruses or harmful components

Any outputs, estimates, analyses, or transaction constructions provided by the Service may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated, and you are solely responsible for independently verifying everything before signing or broadcasting any transaction.

7. Limitation of Liability; Sole Remedy

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BTC TOOLS, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OF FUNDS, DIGITAL ASSETS, CRYPTOASSETS, OR OTHER VALUE, OR FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO:

• YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE;
• ANY TRANSACTION YOU CREATE, SIGN, BROADCAST, OR FAIL TO BROADCAST;
• ANY ERROR, BUG, VULNERABILITY, MISCONFIGURATION, OR INTERRUPTION IN THE SERVICE;
• ANY THIRD-PARTY WALLET, EXTENSION, API, INDEXER, AD NETWORK, OR OTHER THIRD-PARTY SERVICE (ETC.);
• ANY ON-CHAIN EVENT OR NETWORK CONDITION (INCLUDING CONGESTION, REORGS, FORKS, OR MINER/POLICY BEHAVIOR).

SOLE REMEDY. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING THE SERVICE.

AGGREGATE CAP (BILLING-PERIOD CAP). TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF BTC TOOLS (INCLUDING ITS OPERATORS AND CONTRIBUTORS) FOR ALL CLAIMS, IN THE AGGREGATE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EXCEED THE FEES (IF ANY) YOU ACTUALLY PAID TO US FOR THE APPLICABLE PAID ACCESS OR PAID FEATURE DURING THE BILLING PERIOD IN WHICH THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OCCURRED.

IF THE APPLICABLE PAID ACCESS OR PAID FEATURE IS SOLD FOR A PERIOD SHORTER OR LONGER THAN A MONTH (E.G., 7 DAYS, 30 DAYS, ANNUAL, ETC.), THE CAP IS LIMITED TO THE FEES ATTRIBUTABLE TO THAT SAME BILLING PERIOD (OR, IF PRICED IN ADVANCE FOR A LONGER TERM, THE PRO-RATED FEES ATTRIBUTABLE TO THE BILLING PERIOD IN WHICH THE EVENT OCCURRED).

IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US ANY FEES FOR THE APPLICABLE PAID ACCESS OR PAID FEATURE DURING THAT BILLING PERIOD, YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY MONETARY DAMAGES.

IF APPLICABLE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN LIABILITIES, THEN SUCH EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS APPLY ONLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW (FOR EXAMPLE, CERTAIN LIABILITIES ARISING FROM FRAUD, WILLFUL MISCONDUCT, OR PERSONAL INJURY IN SOME JURISDICTIONS).

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BTC Tools and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any applicable law or any third-party rights
• Any transactions you create, sign, or broadcast (etc.)

9. Beta Software Notice

The Service may include BETA or experimental components. This means:

• Features may change without notice
• Bugs and errors may exist
• Use extra caution and always verify transactions independently

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

• Engage in illegal activities
• Launder money or finance terrorism
• Evade sanctions or violate export controls
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems

11. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute the Service without permission.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may interact with third-party services (wallet extensions, Bitcoin nodes, mempool/indexer APIs, advertisers, analytics providers, etc.). We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, retention, or terms.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator resides, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Dispute Resolution and Class Action Waiver

16.1 Binding Arbitration

To the maximum extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, rather than in court.

16.2 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND BTC TOOLS AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Unless both you and BTC Tools agree, no arbitrator or judge may consolidate more than one person’s claims or otherwise preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and BTC Tools regarding use of the Service, together with the Privacy Policy incorporated by reference.
